I know I’m getting old, because switching grocery stores is hard. 

Groceries are expensive. 

As a family of four we spend over $1,000 in groceries each month. 

So naturally, we shopped at the cheapest local grocery store.

Sending out reports and telling people to work it doesn’t make sense in our care delivery system today. I’m thrilled at the innovation happening to bring action to the physician vs. them having to go find it. 

We owe it to our healthcare professionals to bring critical insights and actions to where they are which is in front of a patient.

The Turing test is used to determine if we’ve achieved artificial general intelligence. 🧠

The test involves a human blindly conversing with another human and a machine. If the human judge cannot confidently decipher which they’re talking to, another human or a machine, we’ve reached AGI. 💻

I prepped ChatGPT with a prompt in advance and set my grandma up to use two chat boxes - one with ChatGPT, and one with another human. She didn’t know which chat box was associated with human vs machine. 🙈

After 20 minutes of chatting back and forth

SHE COULDN’T TELL THE DIFFERENCE. 

This is the definition of AGI.

I hope many of you see the issue here. 🧐

AGI is a subjective term. 

What my grandma deems “human-like” intelligence is NOT what I’d consider “human-like” intelligence. ❌

Using the standard of the Turing Test, AGI is a moving target. 

👉Each individual has a unique definition of what they consider to be AGI. 

👉As technological knowledge and capabilities increase, so will standards for AGI.

The declaration of achieving AGI likely won’t be a single point in time where there is a mass consensus. 📆

It will be a staggered acceptance based on individual knowledge and opinion. 🪜
