I feel completely and utterly overwhelmed at the moment, hunz

Like I just want to hide under a rock (aka my duvet) and come out when stuff is fixed

I feel frozen

I feel avoidant

I feel incredibly alone, even though I’m literally not alone at all, and I’m so lucky for that

But in the midst of uncertainty this internal sense of impending doom and the voice that says, “it’s really does fall down to just you” is saying otherwise. (Cheers, pal)

I’ve worked hard on supporting myself and my mind over the years

Last year, I felt so proud of how far I’d come

It was honestly the best year of my life

Nothing wild happened

I didn’t have a baby
Or get my "dream job"
Or go to 68486 countries 
Or win the lottery (would be sick tho xo)

I was just present

And life was calm

It was that kind of year where, when someone asks, “what’s been going on?” you can genuinely say, “nothing to report.”

And it kinda feels like you're really boring

But I realised that is such a gift sometimes

This year’s been a little bit more… chaotic, shall we say

Not bad

Just stressful

And my goodness, I’m feelin’ it

But also… it’s a reminder that life is so bloody far from linear

Hold on to those boring times

And when you’re in the tough ones, remind yourself that you will get that again

For anyone who might be feeling similar to me, please know you’re not alone

However much it feels like it

Here’s your reminder that you truly aren’t… ’cause I’m here with ya 💛

(P.S. my solo 60K hike in Menorca a couple of weeks ago helped me breathe... take me back plz?)

I can’t even remember when I first virtually met Beth Lang… but she’s always been someone I’ve felt strangely close to (not in a creepy way Beth, don’t panic 😂)

There’s just something about the way Beth talks about everything that resonates

It’s real
