I love stories. I wholeheartedly believe in the power of good storytelling, and have honed a keen interest in how brands leverage emerging tech & media tactics, tap into the evolving cultural pulse, and embrace the diversity of their audiences. The best brands serve as societal barometers and catalysts for conversation and change. -- Personal: My abiding intellectual love for how we communicate (plus the psychological and anthropological underpinnings) has been foundational to my career in tech & media. As an English major at Princeton I focused on modern literature and film, incorporating my passion for pop culture and media consumption into my written work. In specific I explored the intersection of ethics and aesthetic treatment, writing about the ways we present the complications of human experience and trauma through written and visual media. -- Career: I've had a lot of fun working with clients across industries for 10+ yrs. I started my career at Percolate (acq. 2019 by Seismic) and worked there during the advent of paid social. I spent the majority of my time as the Global Enterprise Services Lead for Unilever (with time spent on Anheuser-Busch, GE, and MasterCard). Working to oversee a 70+ market, 35+ brand deployment alongside brand and agency stakeholders gave me a deep appreciation for how matrixed marketing orgs operate, and how challenging it is to maintain brand consistency at scale. Consulting at MediaLink offered me a panoramic view of the media, tech, and entertainment landscape. I worked with the hyper-smart leadership teams at digital publishers like Vox Media, Group Nine Media, and mindbodygreen, and also worked on accounts in the MCN + AR spaces. My favorite project - for a well-known talent conglomerate - required us to assess & size the influencer marketing landscape circa 2016, even before it continued to explode and disrupt traditional paradigms. At BounceX I was exposed to the direct-to-consumer revolution, which has precipitated new challenges for both growing & heritage brands as they look to gain mindshare with consumers. Informed by our tech's value props and my client conversations, I learned more about identification & consumer privacy, CRM plus acquisition & retention tactics, and loyalty programs. Now I'm at Big, working with ambitious brands and visionary entrepreneurs to drive exciting, tangible business outcomes. -- My professional ethos is rooted in the following: integrity, empathy, paying it forward, and the tireless pursuit of bigger & better, together.
