Contributing to national security policy research to support effective defense and engagement abroad, my work focuses on connecting practitioners and researchers while mentoring emerging thinkers and leaders in the field. Drawing on my experience serving with special operations teams in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Central America, I aim to support organizations that develop evidence-based solutions to complex security challenges. Currently, I'm writing a book chapter on airpower development during the Iraq War while and supporting policy research at RAND and the Center for a New American Security. Additionally, I teach Great Books seminars that explore enduring questions about human nature and leadership including the Iliad, Aeneid, and in the Fall of 2025, Clausewitz's On War. My writing has appeared in Air Force Times, Air and Space Power Journal, Defense One, Joint Forces Quarterly, War on the Rocks, and USA Today, focusing on issues that impact service members, their families, and national security professionals.
