1. Recommend and implement improvements to existing reports, so that improved data flows can more effectively support operational activities and deliver information that can aid more effective decision making within operational areas.
2. Work in collaboration with key stakeholders across the University to
•	Collate, assess and prioritise reporting requirements
•	Develop and create reports that support both statutory and operational requirements
3. Work alongside business stakeholders to specify data quality and data integrity thresholds which will contribute to the University's capability to delivery timely and accurate reporting.
4. Contribute to a group of BI analysts involved in producing operational and statutory reports and support the transfer of reporting capability and knowledge back into the business teams.
5. Develop a practical understanding of the underpinning data technologies and principles including, report and cube design and T- SQL.

Business Intelligence Analyst

1. Work with the Head of Student Forecasting and Statutory Returns, and Business Analysts to develop and document work processes and data management including technical documents such as data dictionaries and user guides. (IBM TM1)
2. Support the forecasting and modelling of student numbers and fee income through analysis, interrogation and testing of data from Academic Planner.
3. Analyse and respond to queries from the regulators.
4. Support the delivery of statutory data returns, working with Business Analysts and the Head of Student Forecasting and Statutory Returns to ensure timeliness, data quality and accuracy
5. Develop and maintain a specialist understanding of the data and business rules that support the University’s delivery of statutory returns.
6. Support the team in interpreting new or changed statutory requirements and the impact on data in corporate systems to ensure ongoing compliance.

Data Analyst

Study Group

1.	Leading on processes to provide students with regular feedback on their performance, attendance and summative results and facilitating the communication of this to key stakeholders.
2.	Collating data on student performance for the use of the Senior Academic and Leadership Team in order to enable timely student intervention
3.	Updating progression data in line with PS processes to ensure that all progression information is up to date and accurate.
4.	Communicating progression data updates to other teams (within the College and Partner University) to ensure consistency of student records.
5.	Leading on all PS aspects of student registration in collaboration with Student Support and Registry.
6.	Where required taking responsibility for the organisation of Departmental Engagement Activities and representing the team at events.
7.	Actively contributing to the development of PS processes to improve the effectiveness of the team.
8.	Participating in the new staff recruitment and training process.
9.	Deputising for Head of Progression Support, Deputy Head of Progression Support, and colleagues in the wider Professional Service Team, as and when required. 
10.	Carrying out any other duties as required from time to time by the College’s Senior Leadership Team.

College Data Management Co-Ordinator  (University of Sheffield International College)

To provide support for the full range of activities undertaken by Progression Support including (but not limited to): data management and reporting; progression management and enhancement; student support and communication of policies.
The Progression Support team works collaboratively with all other teams in the College, and stakeholders in the University to “prepare international students to progress and thrive at the University of Sheffield (TUoS) through successful completion of their programme”. The team continually monitors student performance to ensure that timely support is provided with a view to enhancing each individual’s opportunity for success. If a student is unlikely to progress to the University of Sheffield, the Progression Support team helps them to explore alternative options in UKHE.

I provided support for the full range of activities undertaken by the Progression and Student Support Teams. 

1. Within Progression Support Team, my work includes: data management and reporting; progression management and enhancement; student support and communication of policies.

2. Within Student Support Team, my work includes: support of the attendance monitoring & intervention process; reception and front of house duties; assisting in the support of students at the English Language Teaching Centre; other general activities related to student pastoral support.
