After 10 years as an entrepreneur helping other entrepreneurs with technology and marketing, I joined a sustainability-focused SAAS startup where I turned my entrepreneurial leadership into collaboration and support. It was heaven! Being on a team of other experts in their field really lit me up. And I was able to amplify their brand with invitations to speak and contribute articles to industry publications. Through that experience, I realized that a startup probably doesn’t need full-time, permanent, C-level marketing, but you do need someone with the experience and expertise to get the job done well and fast.
