This morning started with a quiet curveball.

My wife was out, so I was on point getting my granddaughter ready for school. Not the fun parts. The parts my wife usually handles without thinking. Hair. Shoes. The last minute scramble that somehow still runs on time.
None of it was hard. It just wasn’t “my job.”

- I didn’t make a thing of it. 
- I didn’t announce my sacrifice. 
- I just did what needed to be done because a small human was counting on it.

And somewhere between finding the missing sock and packing the backpack, it hit me.
