As Solution Consultant in the Global Strategic Sales team I worked on targeted strategic opportunities from the business development stage, including meeting with potential clients and industry groups, through to contract signature and delivery of new business engagements, and transformational renegotiations for large accounts. Whilst in this role I lead teams to win 7 major engagements, generating a combined TCV of $1.7billion. I developed a strong breadth of knowledge across all IT Infrastructure Services competencies, with a particular depth of knowledge in the Mobility and Workplace Services area. I worked winning engagements alongside all areas of the IBM business including Global Business Services, Hardware and Software. 

As Senior Solutioning Manager, I was responsible for leading new business engagements, and renegotiations for large accounts. My main roles were to lead and manage a technical team of other Solution Managers, Technical Solution Designers and Technical Architects, and co-ordinate with other stakeholders, whilst interfacing with the client to present and negotiate the IBM solution. I was required to perform a significant project, resource and people management role, often working with pressured resources and in tight time-scales to construct an end to end technical and commercial solution to meet technical and business objectives. I leveraged IBM’s internal service delivery organisation, third party vendors and suppliers to create and mature solution strategies, and take agreements through to contract.

Senior Solution Manager

As a Lead Boarding Project Manager in the IBM eBusiness Hosting Services team I was responsible for the transition of new eBHS systems into the IBM Warwick and North Harbour data centres for new and existing customers.
I worked with the customer, IBM teams and third parties to fulfil the requirements set out in the solution, providing status updates, managing change, and working to customer imposed deadlines. 
My responsibility for the project started at contract signature and ran until Service Activation and Go Live, during which I was the key customer contact point for all communications relating to the new service. I task managed technical resource in the UK and from IBM's Global Delivery Centres to procure and install hardware, software and services. This included local area network, wide area network, security, Wintel servers, System P AIX servers, and middleware products including DB2 and MQ. 
In this role I project managed 12 projects for 4 new customers and 7 existing customers.

Project Manager

In 2003 I was promoted to a Team Lead position in Deskside Support. I was responsible for the management of the on-site support for a client site, including the task management of the team of Location Technical Support Analysts working on the site. This included deskside support to local and remote users of all levels up to CEO level. I was the key IBM client contact point for the client site, and worked as the deputy to the account Service Manager and Delivery Project Executive. I regularly liaised with clients, external suppliers, contractors, engineers and support staff on other customer and IBM sites, both nationally and internationally

As a Location Technical Support Analyst I worked on customer sites and was responsible for providing problem determination and support for all desk telephone, fax, printer, scanner, and computer systems. This included deskside support to local and remote users of all levels up to CEO level. I also performed Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange and network account administration, and backup and restoration of the MS Windows servers on site. 
I regularly liaised with clients, external suppliers, contractors, engineers and support staff on other customer and IBM sites, both nationally and internationally. When the Lead Technical Support Analyst or Service Manager were unavailable I deputised in any conference calls and management activities.

Deskside Support Technician

As part of my degree I completed a 14 month industrial placement working as an IT Help Desk Technician. During the year, I dealt with over 6,000 customer queries which ranged from business practice queries to repairing office communication systems. I completed 100% within SLA targets. Whilst at Reed, I identified a lack of information available for new starters on the Help Desk. I successfully compiled and distributed a training document that reduced the time before a new starter reached an acceptable level of productivity.

I lead high performing teams of experts to deliver quality solutions to meet my client's business challenges. 

I have demonstrable experience through multiple roles in sales, project management and delivery, both working independently and leading teams. Currently I am an Account Chief Technologist at Fujitsu. Prior to that I worked as a Solution Director at Fujitsu between 2021 and 2023, a Solution Consultant at DXC Technology and its predecessor company HPE from 2016 to 2021, and before that at IBM Global Technology Services for 6 years. I have directly contributed to $2.5 billion of competitive New Logo and Renegotiation business, with a high deal success rate, including wins in Digital, Cloud, Mobile and Social solutions.

I am known for being a strong client facing member of the account team, with the ability to quickly get to a deep understanding of my client’s requirements and the offerings and services available to meet their needs, and to carry this vision forward through the engagement process to delivering client success.
