Developing and implementing the marketing activities in accordance with agreed marketing strategies and concepts. Producing strategic guidelines and measures for all marketing promotion activities in agreement with management. Arranging and handling marketing campaigns (e.g. briefing local marketing agencies, creating media plans, customer loyalty schemes, online activities etc.). Monthly evaluation of marketing campaigns in cooperation with Business Development Manager. Continuous monitoring of marketing actions of competitors in the market. Regular updating of the budgeting tool and reconciliation with SAP. Liaising with strategic partners e.g. Star Alliance / Lufthansa Group airlines, as well as local marketing agencies. Support and rotational lead of pan-European marketing activities within European Quarterly Focus programme. Coordinating local PR-activities. Lead the successful implementation of Reach-Cost-Quality project for UK. Ensuring a seamless flow of information and cooperation with all relevant departments.

Personnel responsibilities includes hiring, supervising and mentoring staff. Managing, guiding and motivating three full-time employees and three part-time employees. Managing and optimising individual employee performance by utilising all common Lufthansa performance management tools.

Marketing & Communications Manager UK & Ireland

Implementing marketing and pricing action plans in close cooperation with Business Development Unit. Producing strategic guidelines and measures for all marketing activities in agreement with the relevant department managers. Developing and implementing the marketing plan for allocated area including budget planning and monitoring. Developing pricing strategies and pricing concepts in cooperation with relevant internal departments and external partners e.g. Star Alliance and other Lufthansa partners. Continuous analysis of target achievement (score card) as well as the general market structures and strategies of competitors. Evaluating marketing and pricing activities in cooperation with Business Development Manager. Responsibility for all online marketing activities directly supporting lufthansa.com sales. Developing and introducing new methods of distribution (new media etc.). Continuous monitoring, analysing, developing and adapting of Lufthansa marketing and pricing reports, tools and workflows in close cooperation with the Business Development Unit. Ensuring a seamless flow of information and cooperation with all relevant departments. Participating at regular business development and sales meetings. Forwarding market and competitor information to Business Development Unit.

Marketing & Pricing Manager UK & Ireland

Full responsibility for planning, budgeting and implementing marketing projects such as direct mail programmes, special promotional offers, distributor promotions and ATL advertising. Responsibility for preparing and closely monitoring budgets for a variety of marketing programmes to ensure projects are kept within planned cost and time parameters. Responsibility for the preparation and successful implementation of promotional events e.g. trade shows, distributor events, client evenings. Responsibility for planning, implementing and monitoring web based and online communication activities. Write copy for internal and external printed communication pieces. Provide direction to outside marketing/promotional agencies; approve contracted creative work. Consistent with Lufthansa’s global and UK advertising platform, place advertisements in approved publications. Conducted other self-directed projects as assigned and support for sales channels.

Marketing Executive UK & Ireland

Plan and monitor promotional budget and negotiate with external agencies. Monitor competition and market trends and initiate necessary activities. Maximize Return on Investment of Lufthansa Sales Support and promotional activities by developing and implementing effective sales support tools and appealing, measurable promotions. Development of best customer programs. Liaise with central departments in Frankfurt, Key Accounts, Reservations, Public Relations, U.S. and Canadian local sales offices and gateways. Develop promotions in support of strategic goals, weak routes, increase activity rate and online bookings. Develop and distribute relevant, timely sales support material and manage the relationship with Lufthansa fulfillment house.
