Hey! Thanks for checking out my page. It's great to meet you! I'm Katie McEwen, The Procurement Girl. I am a Kentucky girl lost in Ohio that is obsessed with all things Jesus, family, procurement, and music. 🎶in that order. I was raised in a house with a beauty salon in the kitchen. Imagine Steel Magnolias but not as classy. I’m an open book with a mind that won’t quit. That's just how momma raised me. I'm just trying to understand why this big ol' world can't feel more like a small town. I'd like us to change that. I find my purpose in motivating people to stay in procurement. To keep pushing because it matters. It’s hard and it never stops, but it matters. Procurement doesn't get all the awards and praise, but I've met with enough procurement rock stars to know that the goal isn't the praise. The goal is to ensure the work that procurement does today sticks and lasts beyond their tenure. I am the proud owner of an affiliate marketing agency, The Procurement Girl. I help the best procurement technology and service companies break through the noise and get noticed by procurement. I also provide motivational coaching for procurement teams that are burnt out within my procurement community. I'm not good at much but I make for one heck of a cheerleader and advocate. I LOVE to see my friends in procurement succeed. It happens more than you think, you just don't hear about it. I’m working on that. Building a community doesn't feel like work to me. I just FINALLY get to unleash my networking skills and do what I love. The procurement community has become my work family, and I’m VERY protective of my family. I want to be clear. I'm on a mission to make procurement look good, get noticed, and stop having to work so hard to prove their value. Love is my motive.
