I started, ran (for 24 years) and sold a small International Business called American Electrical, Inc., located in Richmond, Virginia. Over that time period, we grew our Connection, Protection and Wire Preparation, product lines with strong ties with 'best in class' Companies, mainly based in Europe (Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Turkey, Sweden, Switzerland) and Canada. We grew our customer base by partnering with the top Electrical, Electro-Mechanical and Electronic Distribution partners as well as Direct OEM businesses, all over the USA and Canada. We grew our employee base by hiring and retaining great people with vested interest in making sure that the customer was in the forefront. We grew our sales and profitability so that we could maintain a Company that would last well into the future. We had an acronym called FAST that stands for Flexibility, Accuracy, Speed and Teamwork but ultimately relates to reacting to customer demands quickly, for without them we were nothing.
