as a communication architect with a focus on live communication, i design museums, exhibitions, showrooms, trade fairs, events and live experiences for clients from the fields of culture, science and industry. as CEO and founder of jangled nerves, i get to create emotional experiences for brands and people with an interdisciplinary, creative team that thrives on trying new things. in the mid 90s, my partner ingo and i started with computer models, which at the time of our diploma theses were not only exciting, but also revolutionary. while the areas and facets of digitization have developed, we have grown with them. jangled nerves was born out of our curiosity for new technologies – and it remains the basis for what we do today: we search for new possibilities. we play with boundaries, forms and senses and break away from conventions. physical and digital space, communicative message, function and aesthetics come together. we build spaces that impress. we design events that stay in your head. we think communication integrated and realize it down to the last detail. i am convinced that the conscious design of experiences is communication that remains - tangible, convincing, sustainable. as professor of media + space, i have been passing on my experience from over 25 years of creative work at the faculty of architecture and design at the HFT stuttgart since 2004. not only do my students learn from me, but i learn from them as well: new ways of thinking, new ideas, new approaches. the curiosity for new possibilities. the basis for what i do. #bejangled
