For over 20 years, I’ve led in-house marketing and branding teams for high profile organizations in all sectors. I worked on the first Obama presidential campaign, then as a political appointee in the U.S. government, where I harnessed the power of social media early when I started the first cabinet-level instagram, the wildly popular Department of the Interior account. I’ve also had experience at the state level, where I was the Chief Digital Officer for the State of New York. I’ve led campaigns for nonprofits like Oxfam and Everytown for Gun Safety. 

And most recently, I built the content marketing program at WeWork into a revenue-driving machine. 

So why Fullerton Strategies?

Very few – if any! – marketers today have the broad range of experience that I do. With this level of expertise, a passion for building effective strategies and campaigns, and a love of working directly with people to improve their businesses, I decided it was time to start my own digital marketing consultancy. With a consulting format, the options are endless. I’m able to develop and implement innovative, new ideas for my clients, and work in partnership with them to create bespoke marketing plans for all their unique needs. It’s a win-win.

Oversee Global Content, Social Media, wework.com, Email, CRM, and App teams.

Vice President - Content & Channel Marketing

•	Lead global social media and member communications teams consisting of 23 digital strategists, content creators, videographers and designers across four continents.

•	Create vision and goals for content across multiple platforms that builds brand awareness and drives desk sales.

•	Oversee strategy and content development for WeWork’s two major annual events — Summit and Summer Camp.

•	Designed the organizational structure for the social media and member communications teams to maximize staff talents and improve efficiency and productivity.

•	To date, more than doubled Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn followers by developing more dynamic, platform-specific content highlighting WeWork’s unique stories.

•	Improved member experience by developing and expanding platforms to distribute relevant content.

Global Head of Social Media and Member Communications

State of New York

•	Directed digital strategy and innovation for New York State; built the Governor’s first ever digital engagement team from the ground up.

•	Tripled Twitter followers and doubled Facebook followers in less than a year by using relevant national moments to promote the governor’s agenda.

•	Increased yearly NY.gov visitors by 4.3 million by creating more accessible services for the public.

•	Led digital development and rollouts for all policy initiatives, including New York State Paid Family Leave, free college for middle class New Yorkers, the Second Avenue Subway opening. Oversaw messaging and execution during rapid response moments, such as the Charlottesville protests, the Trump administration travel ban, announcement of the U.S. leaving the Paris Climate Accord, and the Federal Communications Commission’s net neutrality decision.

•	Created unique public engagement opportunities, including the inaugural State of New York Craft Beer Challenge, which grew the state’s email list by 15 percent and garnered dozens of earned media hits.

•	Produced videos that were shared hundreds of thousands of times and viewed over 20 million times.

Chief Digital Officer

Everytown for Gun Safety

•	Developed and executed all national advocacy/fundraising campaigns for organization’s 3.5 million members; managed a social media team responsible for outreach to two million followers through various platforms.

•	Established the organization’s first digital fundraising strategy, including launching first monthly giving strategy; more than doubled the 2015 online fundraising goal.

•	Project managed organization’s first distributed online tool to enable supporters to engage directly with corporate and political decision makers.

National Digital Campaigns Director

U.S. Department of the Interior

•	Established the Department’s first digital strategic plan to advance the DOI mission and broaden awareness and engagement with programs, including over 400 national parks. 

•	Built strategic partnership between the White House and federal agency partners to revamp www.recreation.gov as part of the White House Travel and Tourism Initiative; resulted in new interactive content and mobile trip-planning tools. 

•	Recruited and built a digital team from the ground up; also managed internal communications staff, consultants, and the Department-wide web council. Oversaw all aspects of day-to-day activities, including budgeting, staff development, and strategic planning.

•	Initiated several innovative projects to directly engage the public, including an annual crowd-sourced Valentine’s Day video and the Instagram MonuMeet, an opportunity for the audience to attend the historic re-opening of the Washington Monument.

Alliance for Climate Protection

•	Oversaw a team of six to develop and execute fundraising, advocacy, and social media strategy around engaging with the Alliance’s 5.4 million online members. 

•	Increased online giving by more than 30 percent over previous year by developing new year-end online fundraising campaign.

•	Managed major rebranding and redesign of ACP’s three websites during a six-week timeframe.

Oxfam America

•	As first Online Communications Manager, initiated, developed, and oversaw first social-networking and email strategy, as well as advocacy and fundraising; managed staff of 2 as well as consultants.

•	Increased online fundraising from 2 percent to 10 percent of organization’s budget and more than tripled online supporter base in less than 3 years.

•	Oversaw all 50 states’ email campaigns; responsible for ensuring up to 40 emails per day had consistent messaging and approach, and were appropriately tailored for each diverse audience.

•	Coordinated with graphic design, social media, mobile, video, and analytics teams to produce content.

•	Developed online strategy for efficient and effective volunteer recruitment and rapid response at the state level.
