A legal masters and business graduate with over twenty years experience across a variety of Construction related businesses and markets (EPC, Nuclear, Iron/Steel, Oil & Gas, etc) and having worked for the Employer, Main Contractor, Subcontractor and Consulants across these. Joining the Construction industry on a graduate trainee programme provided an introduction to understanding the detail of various elements of a business, with early elements of my career path following the commercial, financial and delivery aspects of the business. This commercial focus flowed through my early to mid career to date (generally with the Construction related industries) which has led through to Director level and has been supplemented with the successful completion of a Masters in Commercial Law from Sheffield University. Roles covered over my career to date include contract drafting and negotiation, contract administration, contractual and commercial advising, claim preparation and management (including resolution via ADR and litigation), change management, contractual correspondence, overseeing commercial teams, cost value reconciliation, earned allowance review, financial management, estimating and planning / scheduling. These roles have been undertaken across a number of construction sectors including Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Nuclear, Bio-Fuel, Iron and Steel, on-shore fabrication, commercial construction. Recent projects worked on include Barakah Nuclear Power Project (ENEC/KEPCO/HSJV), Isle of Grain Combined Heat and Power Project (EON/ALSTOM), Isle of Grain LNG projects Phases 2 & 3(CB&I), West Burton CCGT Project (EDF/AMEC), Vivergo Biofuels Project (Vivergo/Jacobs/Aker), and Wilton Biofuels Project (ENSUS/Simon Carves).
