After handing over the CEO role to my successor, I stayed on as part of the supervisory board of directors for two years. We then took the company private, and it's now wholly owned by 1&1.

The publicly listed Sedo Holding comprised of two marketplaces: Affili.net (now merged with AWIN), a leading European affiliate marketing network, and Sedo.com, still to this day the world's largest domain marketplace. The group had over 300 employees, and over 100 million in revenues.

I was co-founder and CEO of the company, with offices in Cologne (Germany), and Boston (USA). Grew the company to ~300 people and in 2009 took it public on the German stock exchange. To this day, Sedo.com is the leading global marketplace for buying and selling domain names and websites.

I'm an entrepreneur since as a kid I got my first computer and started coding 👨‍💻. I've founded and lead a few companies, including Sedo.com, Eyeo.com (makers of AdBlock) and, most recently, our saas.group. I also enjoy investing into start ups and mentoring the next generation of founders, especially climate tech founders, where together with Ecosia.org we're building WorldFund.vc 🌳🌍
