Founder and President

Blattner Energy

Worked with company executives to create and execute leadership development for 225 leaders within the organization. Responsibilities included leading the company's Leadership Develop Team which handled all major leadership development decisions for the company. Other responsibilities included selecting critical leadership development messages, creating uniquely engaging methods for delivering those messages, and establishing reinforcement mechanisms that integrated into the day-to-day responsibilities of each leader. Additional duties included both formal and informal one-on-one leadership coaching. 

Accomplishments include leading the launch of the company's first ever Culture Committee, creating a systematic process for regular 360 feedback for the company's top 70 leaders, and overhauling the company's annual gathering for culture and leader development to achieve greater engagement and value. 

After one year with the company, was asked by the executive team to lead upper management’s succession planning process. After two years with the company, was asked to be a facilitator/instructor in the company's shareholder development program serving the development of Blattner family spouses and children.

Leadership Development Manager

Holcim

Managed accounts for bulk cement customers in Northern Atlanta, North Georgia, and Southern North Carolina. Responsibilities included timing of product supply and delivery to match customer critical pour needs. Other responsibilities included the development of and delivery on sales targets. Achievements include exceeding budget for cement, slag, and fly ash revenues by 118%, 128%, and 273%, respectively and reducing receivables by +$1 million.

Promoted to work with Packaged Sales Team for the Southeastern United States. Responsibilities included co-developing business plan for newly created package division which then exceeded financial goals in 2006 and 2007. Net impact was +$56M EBITDA, +$30M of which was value added to Holcim’s bottom-line that would not have existed without package sales. Additional accomplishments cost savings through internal process improvement via Six Sigma practices.

Market Manager & Southeast Packaged Products Business Development Manager

Responsibilities included the sales and execution of leadership development engagements with executives and upper management leaders in the construction industry. This included one-on-one leadership advising and formal leadership assessments. The sales process often included public speaking engagements at industry conferences. 

Promoted after two years to the role of Leadership Discipline Team Lead. This role led the development of leadership content and influenced research within the leadership consulting practice.   Accomplishments in this role include realizing top margin increase of 50% and creating a roadmap for customer driven follow-on sales.

Leadership Consultant and Leadership Team Lead

Ernst & Young, Franklin Financial, and Computer Sciences Corporation

Various roles as a business consultant both to external clients and internal stakeholders. Work included creation of a spinoff financial planning firm and SAP implementation.

Precious few things in life bring me greater joy than helping leaders reach their potential. I've been brought to tears on numerous occasions by stories of leaders putting in the work to become their very best, whether in the executive suite, on the front lines, or somewhere in between.
