In addition to my recent experience in venture capital and private equity, my 15-year career has focussed on equity capital markets, investor relations, and strategic communications. I have worked in publicly-traded electric utility companies during a transformative period of sector unbundling and electricity market reform when global investor interest in the national energy sector was at its peak. In my role, I was instrumental in bringing about a large hybrid financing deal ($1bn), numerous bond placements, and several M&A transactions. I then transitioned to the retail and e-commerce space, where I played a key role in facilitating the $250m secondary public offering (SPO) of a major national consumer electronics retailer. In my most recent VC/PE role, I advised a large family office on private market transactions, including building a small VC portfolio (FinTech, PropTech, MedTech). As a team leader, I prioritize soft skills / EQ development and diversity. I thrive in both independent and collaborative environments.
