Hi, I am Tobi Pearce, it’s nice to meet you. As founder and CEO of Sweat, in 5 years I led the company with bootstrapped growth to a peak of ~$100m annual revenue with over 50 million members in nearly 200 countries. After being voted EY’s Entrepreneur Of The Year in Australia, many partnerships with Apple, Meta (then Facebook) and more, I drove the company to a 9 figure exit to a US-based strategic acquirer at 28 years old. Shortly after this and as planned, Sweat's brilliant COO succeeded me in my role as CEO and this transition led to the next phase of my career. For as long I can remember I have been a business enthusiast. I started reading about business and investing in my early teens. Nothing energises me more than finding a way to solve complex problems that have a positive impact on people's lives around the world. My career began in personal training and health consulting. I founded and managed a few of my own small businesses before eventually transitioning to creating my own franchises. Shortly after I discovered the world of internet business at the ripe age of 20 where I began building my next venture which at the time was an ebook business that later augmented into a direct-to-consumer, content subscription & mobile technology business, Sweat. In the background during my time at Sweat, I founded nearly 10 other businesses while making an array of other early stage investments. Most of these were what I like to call great character building, learning opportunities with a few successes along the way. One of these businesses was EzLicence, a marketplace in the driver licensing industry. After having helped the business raise over $6m in funding over the last few years , in March 2023, I stepped in as CEO to assist with international expansion. Although an entrepreneur and operator at heart, I have excitedly begun to deepen my investing activity and am thoroughly enjoying this diverse experience. Part of this journey led me to discover a passion for mentoring and advisory work. Now working with more than 15 companies in a variety of industries including; property, professional services, mining, legal, tech, retail and ecommerce I am thoroughly enjoying this phase of my career.
