🔵 OFFICIAL BIO: Todd Cherches is the CEO and cofounder of BigBlueGumball, a NYC-based management consulting firm specializing in leadership development and executive coaching. He is a member of Marshall Goldsmith’s “MG 100 Coaches”; a three-time award-winning Adjunct Professor of leadership at NYU; a Lecturer on leadership at Columbia University; a TEDx speaker; and the author of the groundbreaking book, VisuaLeadership: Leveraging the Power of Visual Thinking in Leadership and in Life (Post Hill Press/Simon & Schuster). A pioneering thought leader in the fields of "Visual Leadership" and “Visual Coaching,” Todd was one of eight global finalists for the 2021 Thinkers50 "Distinguished Achievement Award" in Leadership, and is ranked by Thinkers360, the PowerList200, and Global Gurus as one of the Top Global Thought Leaders and Influencers in the fields of Management, Leadership, and Design Thinking. Over the course of his career, Todd has coached and trained thousands of business professionals in a wide and varied range of industries, companies, and functions worldwide. Prior to founding BigBlueGumball, Todd was the head of the Liquidnet Leadership Institute (part of Liquidnet University) for the industry-leading fintech firm, Liquidnet.

Todd's prior background included stints with the American Management Association; Dale Carnegie Training; and the Centre for High Performance Development. 

Previous career positions include the following industries/companies (in chronological order):  

Newspapers (Newsday); television news (NBC News); media and advertising (Ogilvy & Mather); tv production (Aaron Spelling Productions); casting (Columbia Pictures Television); comedy program development (Disney); drama program development (CBS); theme park project management (Sequoia Creative, Showscan Entertainment); and business development at an interactive agency (SpireMedia).

Todd is a proud member of the National Speakers Association, as well as a certified Vistage speaker.

With an expertise in leadership development, management training, and executive coaching, my focus is primarily around the areas of performance management, organizational effectiveness, communication, motivation, influencing, teambuilding, innovation, and presentation/public speaking design and delivery.

Specializing in "VisuaLeadership"(R), the application of visual thinking and visual communication to management and leadership, I train and coach business leaders on how to leverage the power of mental models, visual imagery, metaphor/analogy, and storytelling to more effectively manage and lead themselves and their people.

Over the course of my 20-plus year career, I've trained and coached thousands of employees, managers and senior-level executives at hundreds of companies in a wide variety of industries worldwide. 

I graduated magna cum laude with a Master of Arts degree in organizational and interpersonal communication from the State University of New York at Albany’s School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, and am a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), the Organizational Development Network (ODN), the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and HR/NY.  

In addition to running my consulting company, I am also an award-winning Adjunct Professor at the NYU School of Professional Studies (SPS), Division of Programs in Business (DPB), where I teach a popular graduate course on "Transformational Leadership & Teambuilding” for their Human Resources Management & Development (HRMD) master's program. And I am also a Lecturer on leadership at Columbia University where I teach "The Practice of Leadership" in their School of Professional Studies Executive Master of Science in Strategic Communication program. I also write a popular blog column themed around the subject of "leadership & learning" and am a frequent keynote speaker and panelist.
