Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (Queensland)

Project managed the website restructure and online publishing of content for the department's  Agricultural Technology website daf.qld.gov.au/agtech. 

Coordinated stakeholder engagement and content design by working with subject matter experts to bring strategically aligned information to the department’s key audiences.  Re-wrote content optimized for SEO and informed by user tasks. 

Coordinated delivery of communication strategies and projects relating to AgTech, including a Youtube series on the use of Agricultural Tech on three Queensland farms. 

Enhanced the web presence by working with the Department's online team to ensure adherence to Queensland Government style. Increased traffic to the site while increasing time on page and reducing bounce rate.

Senior Communications and Web Content Officer

North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation

Driving overall digital strategy for the business,  managing website (Squiz Matrix CMS) and digital marketing budgets. Executing campaigns to promote commercial trade via The Port of Mackay. Formulating content strategies to support group communications plans, copywriting and story telling. Extracting digital content from port business activities and stakeholder partners and producing Electronic Direct Marketing newsletters and campaigns. Storyboarding video shoots and coordinating creative contractors. Launched and coordinated PR campaign for $5 million James Cook University partnership and on-going strategy for environmental communications. For the media-orientated aspects of my role, I liaised with local, national and international media to drive commercial coverage on the Port of Mackay, its market offerings and capabilities.

Project led content, marketing and communications strategy for NT Government emergency management website SecureNT.nt.gov.au launched in 2016. Led the management of online engagement platform Haveyoursay.nt.gov.au. Wrote stakeholder engagement and communications and marketing strategies for  Hydraulic Fracturing Inquiry and maintained website copy.

Senior Communications Consultant, Department of the Chief Minister

Temporary contract position. Edited plain content for centralised NT Government website. This project involved the decommissioning of government websites and the restructuring of content into the new CMS system. Roles included: Stakeholder engagement with government department content owners, managing workflows of digital writing team, delivered plain English training, content Quality Assurance and maintaining style guide.
