Honeywell

Honeywell recruited me because of my reputable industry experience to complete the long integration process on a company that they had acquired in 2003. After performing a complete analysis of the business process and systems, I succeeded in overhauling the entire global management team for the unit. This was done by focusing the strategic direction of the organization and aligning the core members of the team to the goal of growing the business for immediately profitable results.

My role was to oversee Honeywell's Test and Measurement Business with complete responsibility and accountability for P&L, strategy, and direction. The Honeywell Operating System, which was modeled after the Toyota Production System, was implemented to inject speed and innovation into our business.

I was directly responsible for a $45M P&L, and lead a global team of 250 team members who encompassed manufacturing, engineering, sales, customer service, product management, marketing, service, repair, finance and HR.

The organization, under my direction, improved on-time delivery performance from less than 50% to more than 90%, and improved new product introduction Say-Do from below 5% to 60%. The product marketing teams across the US, Europe and Asia were rebuilt.

VP/GM Test & Measurement Business

Moog Inc

Moog, Inc. recruited me to establish their presence in Asia. I led the establishment of Sales & Engineering teams, global supply chain and regional order fulfillment capabilities. Additionally, I managed operations in Japan, Korea, and India, and was responsible for the Global and Asian sales growth of simulation and testing solutions, which achieved growth rates in Asia exceeding 25% annually since 2006.

I was responsible was for global and regional strategy development execution, and managed the formation of local teams, product development leadership, and maintaining key customer relationships.

I served as the business leader in the Flight simulation, medical simulation, and automotive, aerospace and OEM test solution markets.  One of my roles was to explore and develop new adjacent markets leveraging core technologies.

Business Development Director Test & Simulation - Asia Pacific

Sauer-Danfoss

Member of the Board, with full signatory rights and profit and loss responsibility. 

Led a largely Chinese organization responsible for marketing and sales in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan; organization included: Finance, HR, Business Development, Sales, After-Market Service, Logistics and Application Engineering.  

Profitably grew sales >5% annually during a period when served markets declined ~50% due to SARS and Chinese government macro-economic controls.

General Manager and Managing Director - Greater China

Established Marketing Organization in Asia-Pacific.  Accountable for Marketing Communications, Strategic Market Intelligence, Market Management, Product Management, Technical Support, Price Management and Reporting.  Grew sales in excess of 35% over 3 years. 

Key member of negotiating team responsible for establishing both a manufacturing and sales joint venture with Japanese licensee.  Managed distribution channels including independent distributors and wholly owned sales companies, established Japanese company office in Kobe.

Director of Marketing, Asia-Pacific

Completed buy-out of Brazilian licensee and established first Latin American sales office, located in Sao Paulo.  Led business development in Latin America and East Asia.

Responsible for global product development and commercial launch of an advanced cooling system for mass transit buses and luxury motorhomes

Responsible for sales and new project acquisition primarily with US Government Advanced Development Agencies, e.g. DARPA, NIST, Navy and Air Force.
