Google and Microsoft aren’t bad.

But they weren’t built for cold email at scale.

If you're running high volumes, it's risky to rely on just two ESPs.

Tired of duplicating views in Clay and fiddling with filters?

Here’s your fix:

Use checkbox columns to decide which view a lead should show up in.

For example, create one checkbox that’s true if:

→ MX Provider contains “icrosoft”
→ High HC Growth % is not empty
→ Normalised Company Name is not empty

And another checkbox that’s true if:

→ MX Provider doesn’t contain “icrosoft”
→ High HC Growth % is not empty
→ Normalised Company Name is still not empty

Then just filter views based on those checkboxes.

No more stacking 10 conditions in every view.

No more filter spaghetti.

No more “why is this lead missing?”

Cleaner.

Easier to duplicate views.

And harder to mess up.

I am aware that this isn’t the Clay hack of the century.

But a friend found it useful,

Ever wanted to find every company registered to a specific address?

Here’s how I did it with Clay & the Companies House API.

My client helps businesses find permanent office space in the UK.

So I thought:

“Can we target companies working from co-working spaces?”

First, I asked ChatGPT to list every co-working provider in the city.

Then I used Companies House Advanced Search to search for every company registered at those addresses.

And I came across a rare British Government W

There was a nice fat CSV export button

From there, I combined the CSVs and

Used claygent to find the domains.

I imported the domains into an Apollo search

& also used the companies house API.

To pull in every director of these companies.

Every lead flowed into the "Total Leads" table.

Then came the cleanup:

Deduping companies, enriching them in Clay, and scoring for ICP fit.

From there, we filtered the list down to only the leads at ICP companies.

We enriched for emails,

We normalised their co working space for our personalisation

& we had our list

Bosh.

This use case was built around co-working spaces,

But it works for any address in the UK.

Any company in the UK.

If setting up cold email infra takes more than 10 minutes

You’re doing it wrong in 2025.

I know some people are still out there overcomplicating cold email infra.

→ Buy a domain
→ Manually fiddle with SPF, DKIM, DMARC
→ Double-check everything
→ Pray it works
→ Repeat 20+ times

Then.

Domains burn.

Everything goes up in smoke.

And you repeat the process…

I stopped doing that.
