Quantifying all works, preparing and submitting purchase orders, assisting in compiling a FIDIC contract, presenting cash flow forecasts, estimated final accounts and variation summaries.

I predominately worked on four new stores within Heathrow’s new Terminal 2, including a number of back of house areas. As the Quantity Surveyor for this seven million pound project it was my responsibility to manage all costs from inception to completion. As a result of this responsibility I managed all variations which required a large amount of contract knowledge to be able to approve and most importantly refused additional costs.     
Other tasks included; 

Approving valuations and invoices 

Approving design and construction drawings  

Site surveys and snagging inspections 

Producing JCT Standard Contracts and liaising with construction solicitors  

Ensuring project compliance with Heathrow’s strict Health and Safety and CDM legislation  

Liaise with other internal and external stakeholders in the business to control project cost.
