My work to date has been focussed on the early stage startup ecosystem. I’ve always made it a priority to build long-lasting relationships and help founders understand their current position and what they need to consider with the challenges that lie ahead in building their businesses. For over a decade, I've had the opportunity to work with brilliant, ambitious founders of seed-stage to series A startups, as well as later stage businesses. It’s great looking back on the stories of many founders and friends in the ecosystem that have gone on to achieve great things and it's important to reflect on what worked well and what could have been improved. Life long learning is a core to my values, approach and interests. I started my career as a trainee Chartered Accountant with F&L (Now Zedra) and then joined the founding team at ihorizon in the early days, where we went on to build a successful Early Stage practice, growing to a team of 40 and a client base of 400. Our business was acquired by Cooper Parry in early 2023. I am now an Associate Partner, helping to lead the Early Stage capability at Cooper Parry, within the Tech & High Growth Team. I also have a small portfolio of angel investments and advise on issues helping business scale, leveraging my own experience of running the business at ihorizon before joining Cooper Parry and understanding what's important and the key considerations that are required. My experience to date has taught me the value of decision making, sharing what I know, paying it forward and connecting people within my network.
