Spending 20 nights in these cities:

I transferred points from Chase portal to Air France to book Virgin. 
We like the Chase Unlimited card that earns 1.5% points on spend. 💳 

I transfer those to my Chase Sapphire Reserve in the portal to either use there (rare) or transfer to airlines (better value usually).

Used British Air points to book direct with British Air. These came from getting Chase British Air credit card.

Flying out on Virgin for 15,000 points plus $22 each.

Flying back on British Air for 25,000 points plus $133 each.

Paid with Chase Sapphire Reserve which has an annual travel credit of $300 so total cost was... $10 for my wife and I both. 👍🏼

Getting from country to country once we are in Europe will be mostly British Air. 

Those BA points are much better to use flying around Europe for free with no fuel tax than trying to use them to fly from the U.S. to Europe. 

If you need to use them to fly US to Europe or back a hack is to fly out of Dublin because the fuel tax is lower than many other places in Europe.
On this trip 20 nights in Marriott properties (probably 7 free this trip) will put me 5 nights away from earning 75 night Titanium Elite status. 

That gets me 75% more points, which is more free nights.

They’ve hitched their wagons to SolarEdge Technologies inverters for some high-falutin' agrivoltaics experiments.
