Tom leads the Americas Region (North, South, and Central America) as part of the AICPA-CIMA global focus of the CGMA. In this role, Tom started a Future of Finance Leadership Advisory Group of Senior Finance Executives (CFO, CAO, FP&A) in Fortune 500 Corporations responsible for co-creating the Future of Finance with AICPA-CIMA. In 2023, Tom was asked to lead the development and implementation of the Association's global strategy. In the first year, the feedback from stakeholders and staff was extremely positive and supportive. Tom also leads the Associations Business to Business sales team.

Tom and his team also launched the first Registered Apprenticeship for Finance and Accounting with the USDOL in 2022 and added a pilot program for a Youth Apprenticeship in 2024. Both programs are based on the CGMA Finance Leadership Program and were recognized by the US Department of Labor and the Maryland Department of Labor as innovative apprenticeship programs in 2022 & 2023..

💡Economic Shifts in the Age of AI

The latest research from the Bank of America  Institute confirms what many of us are seeing on the frontlines of finance and business — AI isn’t just a productivity tool, it’s a powerful economic growth driver.

📊 According to their October 2025 report:
   •   AI- and tech-related investment added up to 1.3 percentage points to U.S. GDP growth in Q2.
   •   Small business tech spending rose 6.9% year-over-year, led by manufacturing and construction.
   •   AI is more of a capex driver than a job destroyer — at least so far.
   •   Productivity gains are showing up most in white-collar industries like finance and professional services.

This data echoes what we’ve been discussing in our Future of Finance conversations: AI is transforming capital allocation, decision-making, and talent models.
It’s fueling new investment cycles — not replacing people, but amplifying their impact.
