I come from a background where I have been fortunate to have been a manager in a wide variety of industries, before taking the plunge and going into the online world in 2001. Quickly establishing myself as a recognised expert in eCommerce within the niche market I originally started, I have since been able to grow this service to the point where it became a thriving business. Having grown a successful web agency with a keen focus on developing apprentices and working in the SME market to deliver high quality, no jargon based long term partnerships and mutual growth I have latterly moved to working inside the NHS - first at Health Education England as a web developer in East of England, then taking on the whole Midlands region and then with more national responsibilities. In December 2018 I moved to NHS Leadership Academy to continue my self development and am now working on some incredibly exciting projects that have direct impact on the Leadership Academy offer, but also add value and expertise to the wider NHS. As part of my role in the NHS Leadership Academy, during 2019 released the NHSBlocks WordPress plugin, built using Gutenberg as a base to allow modules from the NHSUK Service Manual to be easily added to WordPress sites, and followed this in 2020 with the nightingale WordPress theme which brings the NHSUK Frontend design completely to WordPress platforms. I am an ambitious person by nature, and thrive in a creative environment, bouncing ideas off colleagues and creating unusual strategies for digital success.
