Founded an agency called Ginger Pickle, which is named after my eyeless and toothless rescue cat.

We take great joy in helping our clients grow through excellent marketing.

I always thought, with years of keyword research experience, learning about lots of different industries that I would be pretty handy in a quiz. 

Turns out, that isn't the case...

We had good fun at All About Hearing Ltd charity quiz night despite us being very midtable in the results. 

Honoured that Ginger Pickle sponsored the event which raised over £1,200 for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People and the Alzheimer's Society.

Congratulations to Matthew Coward and Karen Finch RHAD, FSHAA, FRSA on another successful night.

Meta (Facebook and Instagram) is removing access to shops in the USA from 24th April. 

In order to retain access to your shop you need to have checkout with Facebook/Instagram enabled.

This means no more checkout on the website, it will all be through Meta... 

Yet to see if that will be rolled out in the UK.

Vehicle Listing Ads are here in the UK. But only for a select few.

VLA's work the same as shopping ads and appear at the very top of the search results.

They can be triggered for searches like 'used cars for sale' or very specific searches like 'used Ford Focus for sale' and they deliver a visually pleasing ad that links directly to that car. 

Amazing, if you can get onto the programme...

It looks like this is only open for the big car dealerships. It means they can gain a massive advantage in search by getting their listings to the very top. 

You can apply for the programme but unless you are in the USA, Australia or Canada you will be rejected. 

This means anyone running search ads will have to compete with these Shopping Ads while being lower down the page and without the rich information Shopping Ads bring. 

Seems really unfair to the small dealerships, who already have smaller budgets, not to be allowed on the programme.

That is all, it's frustrated me and I wanted to share.
