I remember sitting in my car one day, eyes heavy, smile forced.
 

A friend texted, “How are you?” and, like a reflex, I replied, “I’m fine.”
 

But I wasn’t.
 

I was running on fumes, pretending to be strong while craving rest.
 

Sometimes, “I’m fine” is code for “I’m falling apart quietly.”
 

Here is what I learned to say instead:
 
☕I deserve to rest.

☕My feelings are valid.

☕It is okay to pause.

☕I can ask for help.

☕My worth is not tied to productivity.

☕Rest is not laziness.

☕I choose peace over pretending.

☕I am healing, not hiding.
 

It’s OK not to be okay.
 

You deserve rest, honesty, and kindness.
 

Take one deep breath today and mean it.
