I have spent much of my career working in IT and change: where the people meet the technology is often a difficult point and I love to get involved here. Understanding how processes produce and use data to manage and measure delivery is a specific interest. Most recently I have support my local NHS Trust through the Covid-19 crisis response and into recovery planning. During lockdown I developed a bed capacity trend dashboard which was used at the daily tactical meetings to make decisions on which wards should be allocated as hot or cold. Supporting the transition back to a more normal service I have been producing a rota and roster model to help understand the human and financial impact of potential changes to working patterns. In local government I am working on an interesting change management piece looking at saving money while delivering a better IT service post-Covid.
