We deal with all aspect of registration, protection and enforcement of intellectual property. Manish Joshi is a Trade Mark Attorney and a European Trade Mark Attorney. Manish advises in all aspects of trade marks and design protection and registration, including clearance searches, oppositions, cancellations, revocations, assignments, trade mark infringement and passing off. As a firm we also assist with all aspects of Patent registration and enforcement. Professional Affiliations: • Co-Editor of the UK Trade Mark Handbook • Co-Editor of the EU Trade Mark Handbook • Former Advanced level examiner for the ITMA exams, and trainer on the Bristol University IP course; • Professional Representative before the Office of Harmonization in the Internal Market [OHIM]. Career: Manish started his career working for the Solicitors Office of Customs & Excise (as it was) before working for a European Trade Marks firm for approximately 6 years and then joining Baker & McKenzie London office in 1999 as a Senior member of the Trade Marks Unit within the Intellectual Property Group. In 2006 Manish then started Joshi & Welch and more recently founded Joshi Worldwide IP. Tutoring: Manish has for a number of years provided individual tutoring to students taking advanced level CITMA exams. Education: Manish graduated in Law from Manchester Metropolitan University in 1991. He then went on to complete the Law Society Finals, before going on to qualify as Chartered Trade Mark Attorney.
