•	Personally managed 85 employee benefits clients with over a million dollars in revenue, including nine 100 + accounts, two of which had 300 + lives, and four self-funded accounts.
•	Developed Requests for Proposals for multiple accounts, distributed to vendors, and analyzed results.
•	Handled day to day service issues including reviewing explanations of benefits, comparing contracts, and resolving claims and billing issues.
•	Presented benefits to employees through renewal open enrollment meetings, webinars, conference calls, and developing comprehensive benefit guides.
•	Lead the renewal strategy presentation for smaller accounts, including the market analysis and plan recommendations.
•	Coordinated health fairs, benefit fairs, and flu clinics.
•	Facilitated compliance checklist presentations with 50-600 life groups, which included all Federal law requirements encompassing everything from ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ACA, Cafeteria Plans, and numerous other requirements.

Employee Benefits Service Manager (position eliminated)	           
Managed the day to day operations of the Employee Benefits Service Team for Frost Insurance, Austin and San Marcos offices.  Responsible for office workflow through analysis of processes and procedures, training and development, and product and systems training.  

Further responsibilities included:	
•	Performed the duties of a Senior Account Manager and maintained a block of business that consisted mostly of large groups.  
•	Responsible for training all new hires on all products,  carriers,  processes and procedures, computer systems, and also made sure we were updated on all product and plan design changes.

Senior Account Manager

Principal Financial Group

Managed the daily operations of the four medical sales offices in Texas (Dallas, Houston, Austin and San Antonio).  This included creating and implementing all sales support processes and procedures, compliance with privacy regulations, monitoring workflow and adjusting as needed.  Responsible for maintaining adequate staffing through analysis of current talent, delegation of tasks, coaching, product and process training, development and succession planning.

Further responsibilities included:

 - Projecting and developing the budget for all PFG Texas medical offices and monitoring quarterly to be sure our expenses are in line.
 - Acted as a liaison between home office partners and field office staff to resolve any issues or concerns.
 - Coordinated with other Managers of Medical Field Operations across the nation to determine best practices and implemented in Texas as appropriate.
 - Resolved any office level issues including maintaining all office equipment, approving invoices, monitoring supplies, and requesting maintenance.

Manager of Medical Field Operations - Texas

Provided direction for the Principal’s Austin, Houston and San Antonio group sales offices.  Directly managed 19 service and sales support staff and developed processes and procedures for all staff positions as well as maintained regional staffing levels through succession planning, employee development and external recruitment.  Responsible for executing and monitoring the budget for all three offices to include overhead, travel expenses and all other costs associated with daily business.  

Further responsibilities included:
·Supporting new sales growth and retention of group benefits accounts in excess of $133 million in premium
·Conducting strategy meetings with clients, brokers and underwriters to increase retention of existing clients 
·Facilitating group enrollment meetings, renewal meetings, and finalist presentations
·Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with sales leaders, brokers, clients and internal underwriting and home office staff

Client Services Director

Bluebonnet Trails MHMR

HR Generalist responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the HR Department for this MHMR community center.  Facilitated benefits programs to include administration of Open Enrollment and COBRA for all employees in an eight (8) county region. Designed and implemented training for senior management and updated policies and procedures for the Center. 

Further responsibilities:
· Developed positive relationships with representatives of outside vendors and acted as Community Relations Representative for statewide consortiums
· Assisted supervisors in disciplinary actions in accordance with the Center’s policies as well as worked with upper management in implementing a Reduction in Force
· Performed all duties as the Webmaster for the Center including weekly updates and completely redesigned the website

Benefits and Employment Coordinator

Duke & Long, Inc.

HR Generalist brought in to assist and support transition, bankruptcy and closure activities for the holding company of more than 150 convenience stores.  Managed new hire, termination and payroll change processes and activities and reconciled benefit invoices.   

Further responsibilities included:
·	Created a Human Resources Process Manual
·	Maintained Human Resources and Payroll databases
·	Performed employment and unemployment verifications and tracked Work Opportunity Tax Credits

Human Resources Generalist (contract position)

Maxim Healthcare Services

Led and supervised a team of recruiters as the Senior Recruiter for this Healthcare services organization. Developed and implemented new recruiting and marketing techniques; coordinated benefit enrollments for external staff; conducted orientation for all new employees and facilitated all payroll and billing functions for employees and clients.  

Further responsibilities included:
· Recruited registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses and certified nurse assistants to be staffed in medical facilities throughout the Austin area
· Managed over 200 external personnel involving interviewing, hiring, firing, resolving conflicts, Worker’s Compensation, salary analysis and disciplinary actions  
· Responsible for the organization of all personnel files within hospital standards and assuring that all licenses and certifications were up to date

Senior Recruiter

Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children

HR Assistant for this children’s hospital recognized as a world leader in the treatment of pediatric orthopedic conditions.  Assisted the Benefits Coordinator with open enrollment, benefit fairs, benefit statements and creating reports; organized and conducted new staff orientation and conducted salary surveys to propose market adjustments.  Worked alongside Special Events Coordinator to propose and plan employee events.  

Further responsibilities included:
· Initiated cold-calls, pre-screened applicants, conducted interviews and updated weekly job postings at various recruitment sites
· Nominated to be a member of the TSRHC Ambassador’s Club Speakers Bureau
· Trained all HR employees on AbraSuite and Report Writer computer systems

Human Resources Assistant

College Station Medical Center

Volunteer Assistant in the Hospital’s Human Resources Department.  Provided support to the staff and the department; prepared for and participated in new hire orientation.  

Further responsibilities included:
· Screened and pre-approved applications for department managers
· Produced reports from ADP time system for management and tracked productive versus non-productive time
· Performed a complete audit of over 400 employees’ personnel files
