Talent Operations Manager

I did some amazing work with the McAfee People Success Team. I worked to shape our new McAfee Internship Program and partnered with our DEIB organization on the relaunch of McAfee Communities. I also implemented the White Glove Hiring and Onboarding program for all incoming Senior Director and above hires, in partnership with our Executive Recruiter. I also updated previous Orientation and 90-day Onboarding plan through increased partnership with Hiring Managers and our Talent Acquisition org.

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

I executed pre-onboarding processes between point of offer accept through Day 1 for newly hired executives around the world. I organized and created content for the Executive Pre-Boarding wiki, and led a project on document migration. I created a Guide to Belonging at AWS and developed the Week 1 Bootcamp for newly hired executives. I was also nominated to the Talent Management Customer Advisory Board.

Executive Talent Operations Lead

I was promoted from HR Partner to the J2D1 Team at Amazon Web Services, as a Talent Ops Specialist.
I executed change management for the internal transfer process, benefiting both Hiring Managers and Recruiters. I also focused on building an inclusive culture by promoting events and programs as an AWS Inclusion Ambassador, and spearheaded Emotional Intelligence efforts around cross-functional teams as an EQ Champion. I launched Fireside Chats and other team-building activities and wrote and published an Amazon white paper on North America Customer Fulfillment Away Team operations (NACF).  


Served as AWS Inclusion Ambassador, Co-Chair of Women @ Amazon in the DFW Metroplex, and Military Special Project for DEI.

I was able to create courses for the Process Assistant Development program, supporting internal Operations promotions, including Difficult Conversations, Project Management, and Time Management. I got to propose succession plans for DAL3 HR Team through strategic partnerships with Cultural Ambassadors. I organized and oversaw onsite employee training for professional learning development through Career Skills and Resumania sessions. I drove Diversity, Equity and Inclusion projects through high-visibility communications with 10+ Affinity Groups. I also guided internal employee recruitment for experienced associates to launch 10+ new fulfillment centers.

FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles

I was very fortunate to have such a well-rounded experience in my time at FCA as a contractor. My biggest success in this role was an independent project regarding the proposal and design of a text system that would be utilized by Human Resources, Health and Safety, and both Plant and Corporate Medical, in the management of COVID-19 and serving as the Program Manager for COVID-19 initiatives.

A large part of my role involved the management of daily workflows within the internal COVID-19 tracking application, including potential new cases. This gave me the opportunity to lead the coordination of health and safety initiatives, including returns to work and badge activations. I would also complete employment transactions, such as leaves of absence, terminations and reinstatements. 
I also learned to coordinate manpower, including internal hiring for full-time and placement of temporary positions at a secondary location (both DACJ and DACM). When needed, I produced requested reports, pertaining to health and safety. Lastly, I maintained employee files, records, and correspondence in compliance with company policies, and state and federal laws and regulations.

Human Resources Generalist (Principal COVID-19 Specialist)

Tutoria is an amazing organization; their mission really spoke to me and I was glad to be able to offer my services.

I advised on recruitment projects, wrote volunteer role descriptions, developed orientation materials, and established an onboarding process. I performed a PEST (Political, Environmental, Societal and Technological trend) analysis with their business strategy team. I also created and analyzed their needs assessments and sourced and screened potential volunteers.

I led the Meet Meritor and Co-Op Dream Team projects to better acclimate new employees and co-ops to the company. I partnered with Diversity and Inclusion to better structure and establish existing and future Employee Resource Groups.  Collaborated with Learning & Development team to analyze needs assessments for future training courses. I assisted and partnered with the Engagement lead in order to better organize and arrange functions of engagement, in addition to writing an Engagement playbook for managers. Also designed various materials for email, print and web using Microsoft Publisher and Canva.

I was very grateful to have had a lot of different experiences in my time at BCBSM.

Learning and Development:
I completed projects on compliance, wiki editing/development and security procedures. I gathered relevant data to in order to facilitate better training to Customer Service Representatives, and higher levels of customer satisfaction to members. I also created PowerPoint presentations for the department manager. I was active with several Employee Resource Networks and championed Diversity and Inclusion efforts across the company.
I wrote and edited articles for two department newsletters, The Melting Pot and the EBO Times. I developed an updated security procedural for management, to be implemented across the department.
For the eLearning, Curriculum and Training team, I created 12 storyboards as refresher courses for Customer Service Representatives. I wrote Job Aids for email blasts and was chosen by management to write an article featuring one of our teams that was published by Corporate Communications in February 2019. I also collaborated with the eLearning team to conduct a research project on available software tools in Summer 2019. I also job shadowed in the Human Performance department.

Talent Acquisition:
I sourced candidates using Taleo and LinkedIn Recruiter and assisted with EEO-1 reports. I also scheduled interviews and submitted candidates to Hiring Managers. I also assisted with onboarding and New Hire Orientations.
I trained summer interns to schedule interviews and source candidates in Taleo as well. 
I completed the Human Resources program on Recruiting, Screening and Onboarding Effectively and the Nuts and Bolts learning module on Human Resources. I have also completed KnowIt training on The Role of the HR Business Partner and BlueTalent training on Human Resource Practices. I completed all available BlueTalent training on Human Resource Disciplines, including Transformational HR and Talent Management.

I worked within Taleo and LinkedIn Recruiter to source and identify potential candidates, then reached out to Hiring Managers in order to identify desired qualities in applicants.
I conducted first-round phone interviews and submitted possible candidates to Hiring Managers. I completed the Interviewing Talent program in accordance with Faurecia University. I also wrote and published the monthly Talent Acquisition Newsletter, and posted to Corporate Social Media accounts using Buffer. I conducted research on recruitment projects, coached new Campus Ambassadors and prepared swag and other materials for career fairs; I also designed postcards that the ambassadors could hand out to attendees.

I managed the layout, content, and overall look of client websites, microsites and PURLs. I edited text, tested hyperlinks, and populated videos and photos during staging of web projects. 
I reviewed customer specifications, then created, proofread and uploaded content ensuring compliance with both client and company standards. I also monitored over 50 websites weekly for quality purposes, then documented and escalated issues when necessary. I managed the completion of a very large project for a high-end automotive client, which was completed early, to this client’s satisfaction.

With years of experience in Human Resources, Training & Development, and Project Management, I have a proven track record of delivering high-quality results and exceeding expectations in fast-paced and dynamic environments.

My career journey has been diverse and challenging, starting from Corporate Training to Digital Communications, Marketing, and Project Management, to Learning and Development, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Management. I have leveraged my dual MBA-MHRM degree from Walsh College and my BA degree in English from University of Detroit Mercy to gain valuable insights and skills in various fields and industries. I have also been involved in DEIB, University Recruitment, eLearning, and Employee Engagement initiatives at Amazon Web Services, Fiat Chrysler, and Tutoria. I am always eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the success of the organizations I work with.

In my next role, I aim to implement talent management and talent development strategies, including attracting, developing, and retaining top talent, as well as creating a positive, welcoming, and engaging work culture. I bring a strong understanding of people and culture practices, and the ability to effectively lead and drive change, ultimately contributing to the overall growth and success of the workforce.
