Until I had a grant report to write, a very non-creative project. As more non-creative tasks popped in my email: ← Self-doubt consumed my thoughts ← Overwhelm became a way of existing ← Blank screens illuminated my stuckness I tried many tactics to get unstuck. ・ Productivity planners ・ Walks in nature ・ More showers ・ Focus music ・ Meditation ・ Breaks But these only helped me cope. They didn’t help me overcome. Or help me write that report. Most are ✘ Impractical at the office ✘ Invalid with looming deadlines Cursor flashing, no idea how to write that report, I thought: ・ Why is this hard? ・ Do I just suck at this? ・ Is it me? Or my strategy? I started applying processes from creative projects to non-creative. For 15+ years, I’ve been detailing my process, researching others, and testing strategies. Now I go from stuck to flow in minutes, not days.
