content, products, and services, and offer translation support and feedback regarding the delivery
of such content, products, and services in specific cultural contexts.
● Marketing and Outreach Feedback and Content: Council Members will provide translation
support and feedback on marketing and outreach materials to capture cultural nuances.
● Special Projects: Council Members will participate in special projects related to the delivery,
evaluation, and marketing of culturally-centred care.

Provide professional telephone and on-line counselling. Follow a professional Code of Conduct and use clinical models confirmed as best practices or evidence based. I also provide education and referral to youth as they define themselves, contacting Kids Help Phone within contexts of protection and empowerment of children and families to support the care of children and adolescents.   
  
Provide assessment, counselling and support to youth in crisis and when appropriate provide referral to local community services to ensure effective professional response to the specific crisis. This includes assisting youth in distress and/or requesting supportive and educational services and completing required documentation to support direct service for telephone, and on-line interventions.  
   
Actively participate in the process of individual clinical supervision and coaching.
  
Facilitate the growth and understanding of the importance of a healthy lifestyle in which each child or youth is equipped with various tools and skills required to respond to the day-to-day demands of living in a dynamic family group, within a community and within a larger society   

Represent the Kids Help Phone counselling service in a variety of venues, e.g. to volunteers, donors, educational settings, the media, as requested

The position of Dispute Resolution Counsellor facilitates communication between consumers and businesses in an effort to help both parties reach a mutually satisfactory outcome and promote a transparent marketplace in the community.

Responsibilities and Expectations
• Act as a neutral third party in facilitating BBB dispute resolution process in accordance with BBB policies and practices
• Facilitate full-cycle dispute resolution process from intake through mediation and arbitration to closure; may include: validating new complaints; facilitating communication between businesses & consumers; processing responses/rebuttals; coordinating mediation or arbitration; and closing complaint files to accurately reflect the outcome
• Answer questions that arise about the complaint process, BBB role, and complaints themselves
• Coach both businesses and consumers on how to respond effectively when in conflict and guide them toward resolution
• Consult with other counsellors and management regarding complex cases
• Provide information, resources or referrals in addition to or instead of dispute resolution offered through the BBB 
• Document thorough information and actions in case notes and journal notes (Ebindr)
• As requested by companies, review complaint history; explain their validity and why they were reported; compile reports for management
• Provide synopsis of complaint handling by businesses and offer information to sales
consultants and accredited services to assist in determining whether businesses would meet accreditation standards
• Identify history for patterns and summarize findings/statistics and work with management to address with business
• Refer suspicious business practices to Investigation Specialist/PR Communications
• Research contact information for business reviews through web search, phone calls, corporate searches, domain registration, etc. and update information in business reviews

I support troubled children and adolescents who face a variety of emotional, behavioural or physical problems. These problems can arise within the family, at school, as a result of drug and alcohol abuse or because of conflicts with the law. These youth are also disadvantaged with: homelessness or are in governmental care because of abuse or neglect.

Community Counselling Services are offered out of the Guildford, Newton and  Broadway Youth Resource Centres by Counselling Psychology and Social Work Master’s Level practicum students who staff the counselling clinic.
The clinic is a free service, we provide individual and group clinical supervision while they fulfil their practicum/intern requirements.
