I am an immigrant from Jamaica. As a kid, I spent most of my time reading fashion magazines and watching sci-fi movies. I was always curious about the people behind the beautiful glossy images and the future of technology. My parents were entrepreneurs who believed in perseverance and they taught me to believe in myself and to always dream big. I learned the power of storytelling from my bold career in media. I was known not only for my fabulous style but my ability to consistently deliver results in an ever changing digital media landscape as a writer, producer, content manager, and event planner. I leveraged my media and tech expertise to excel at LinkedIn, BuzzFeed/Tasty, Yahoo!, CNN, E! Entertainment, and even Oprah.com. I'm a natural leader and an exceptional communicator who develops and executes community building initiatives that gain results. I believe meaningful relationships paired with innovative strategy is the key to maintaining a sustainable and engaging workforce. As a power connector I craft strategic partnerships with community and industry leaders to create long term economic impact. I’ve had the privilege to share my vision and expertise with entrepreneurs and executives from around the world at various events such as EY’s Growth Strategic Forum, AfroTech, Digital Undivided, VidCon, Lift As We Climb, National Black MBA Association LA Chapter, Lesbians Who Tech, and ColorComm. The future of work will be greatly impacted by AI. However, it's my belief that leading with empathy and compassion will ultimately change the way we work. Our strength will forever lie in our background, culture, and diversity of thought to make meaningful change.
