I work within the Product Risk & Compliance organization as part of the Risk Management & Program Governance team. I focus on leading and landing initiatives that help Meta product leaders understand and satisfy both commercial and regulatory security obligations. 

My day to day often includes:
1. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and deploy secure solutions for new products and features, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

2. Managing a team of security professionals, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure the successful delivery of security projects and initiatives.

3. Creating and maintaining security policies, procedures, and standards, aligning with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

4. Communicating security program status, risks, and issues to executive leadership and other stakeholders, providing transparency and driving business decisions that prioritize security.

5. Developing and executing security control testing and validation plans ensuring the effectiveness of security controls and identifying vulnerabilities before they could be exploited.

I work within the LinkedIn Learning Cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance course development team. My primary focus area is industry and regulatory compliance as it relates to cybersecurity.

When developing a course my responsibilities include:
1. Researching the topic I will be teaching, including reviewing scholarly articles, publications, and various news sources.

2. Developing all content artifacts including the scripts and slides decks for the course, as well as additional resources that may be provided to the learners.

3. Coordinating with content directors, video production directors, and other LinkedIn Learning instructors on a continuous basis

4. Recording all video courses on-site with the video production directors, including videos where I am in front of the camera and those where I am voice-recording over a slide presentation.

As a member of the Advisory  practice my responsibilities have included:  
- Testing the security of major IT environments to provide assurance to the financial audit team. 
- Executing test of design and test of effectiveness for all IT-related controls.
- Testing application controls, and completeness and accuracy of system generated reports
- Communicating scope and findings to Management.
- Collaborating with internal to facilitate the reliance of management’s testing for audit purposes.
- Helping management identify areas in which an IT application control should exist

As a member of the Advisory practice, my responsibilities have included: 
- Assist in planning and executing activities related to risk, control, compliance, and internal audit client
- Review client's IT processes, risks, controls, and compliance against leading practice
- Work with client project manager to assist in assessing, designing, and implementing new IT risk
- Draft comprehensive executive summaries and final reports for delivery to client project manager 
- Assist in kickoff, status, and closing meetings with the engagement team and client
- Identify, develop, and communicate findings and recommendations to key team and client leadership

As a Building Specialist and apprentice to the Master Carpenter my responsibilities included
- Maintained constant communication and coordination with subcontractors 
- Maintained compliance with city officials
- Calculated yield percentages to reduce material waste and lower variable costs
