Senior Client Development Manager

Regional Bid & Marketing lead for London & South-East which includes over 200 members of staff. 

Bid management (programme management, liaising with external and internal stakeholders/supply chain, coordination of answer planning, win theme and lessons learned workshops, bid writing, document compiling and graphic design, portal management). Managing a small bid support team within region.

Account Management: liaising with account leads, sector and services leads to develop and drive region and national strategy. Running account management sessions and key pursuit sessions with the aim to  plan pre-positioning marketing to support a major pursuit bid offer.

External/internal communications: writing external/internal communications strategies and implementing them by working directly with national teams including the UK & Europe Head of Comms, Managing Director and Business Development Director. Coordinating, writing and reviewing news stories, thought leadership articles. Management of website and internal intranet dashboards. Managing analytical reports and measuring against marketing metrics. 

Strategic marketing (researching, writing, preparing and implementing marketing strategies for overall region and an additional focus on the sector transportation, liaising with the national leads).

Creative design/brand management: graphic design for all bids, marketing collateral including roller banners, capability statements, social media assets, GIFs and infographics. Video filming/editing for creative comms content. Part of the design/development team for digital capability statement platform - liaising with the developers and rolling out to the regional team.

Social media (I ran a series of social media masterclasses throughout all six offices in the region which was rolled out nationally. This covered the social media basics, how to produce engaging content and the company social media policy. Brand management of social media assets, improving engagement.)

Bid & Marketing Coordinator

As a bid coordinator and senior administrator at Purcell, I have a varied role. My main tasks as a bid coordinator are ensuring the South West and South Wales offices are winning work and continually driving the business forward with regional business development tasks. For this I often work to tight deadlines. I have great time management, diplomacy, verbal and written communication and priority management skills. Alongside bid coordination, I am currently covering the studio manager role as part of my senior administrator role. I work well with many different teams and provide staff with support whether it is personal or professional. An important part of my role, I think, is motivating and inspiring the studio and ensuring the wellbeing of all staff. My main tasks are as follows:

Bid Coordinator
• Proof reading, editing and rewriting content for bids whilst liaising with the technical staff.
• Coordinating PQQ’s, ITT’s and interviews by arranging ‘kick-off meetings’, ‘bid/no bid’ evaluations, creating document plans and organising ‘lessons learnt’ debrief meetings.
• Liaising with subconsultants for bid information and editing.
• Close liaison with the internal central bid and marketing team.
• Tracking OJEU notices and monitoring tender portals.
• Assisting with business development strategies and producing business development activity/pipeline reports.
• Attending regional BD meetings and presenting research.
• Maintaining the leads tracker database and CRM database.
• Creating staff CVs for submissions.
• Producing project brochures and case studies for award submissions and coordinating the attendance at events.
• Maintaining the bid library.
• Attending project sites for bid research.
• Content manager for the South West, South Wales intranet page.
• Production of InDesign reports for projects: feasibility studies, options appraisals and quinquennial inspections.
• Project photography coordination – creating the brief and liaising with the photographer.

As a graphics assistant at WSP, I was an integral part of the office administration team. I produced regional project brochures as well as edit and update when necessary. I was also the event coordinator for client hospitality events such as the rugby internationals and organiser for corporate responsibility and staff Christmas parties where I would manage a budget of £3,000. I have a passion for understanding how people best communicate with each other, how to improve engagement through the use of digitally enhanced visual content and how the consumer experience can be improved through this media. 

In my spare time, I’m a green juice drinking, stand up paddle boarding, yoga enthusiast. A fair weather runner, who loves to cook but mostly, I’m obsessed with my dog.
