Work within a hybrid Civilian Military team charged with developing and sustaining the Conceptual component of the British Army.  CHACR is the British Army's independent think tank which provides a host of services from general development to executive support on critical decision making. My Role as XO is to resource/project plan a budget of over £650k worth of outputs whilst improving narrative arcs, customer pathways and overall engagement metrics.

I was the Battalion Second in Command for 1RGR whilst on its rotation as 16X's very high readiness Air Maneouvre Battle Group. I was responsible for coordinating all activity within the unit and meeting the very high standards for both operational deployments as well as the financial oversight of the unit's activities.

Responsible for 145 personnel. Accountable for the delivery of all training and capability objectives to be the UK’s lead force for any international crisis. Responsible for direction, operational capability and culture. Led all pre-deployment training for a complex mission as part of the NATO forces in Afghanistan for the Battalion. Performed numerous rapid engagements to insurgent complex attacks and mass casualty serials whilst oversaw the day to day operations of the Company. Received a commendation for rescuing over 200 foreign aid workers in a notable complex suicide attack.

HQ Allied Rapid Reaction Corps

Led a diverse, multi-national team of five NATO Officers who were charged with delivering executive planning support to a Headquarters of over 450 personnel and over 25k under command. Principle advisor to the Head of Intelligence within the Headquarters for all organisational, planning and risk matters.

Handpicked to establish and implement the UK’s mission to Somalia. Led a diverse, multi-disciplinary team of over 145 personnel. Established policies from logistics, HR, finance, communications, administrative support and critically the day-to-day operations of the mission. Principle advisor to the mission Commander. Successfully planned, organised and established the UK Mission in Somalia. Key interlocutor between UK Defence objectives and UN, AU, EU, US and Somali goals. Commanded the response for several crisis’ involving complex attacks and risk to life events.
