My choice to study sciences was informed by my natural love for fixing things since my early years. Opting for the engineering path was easier for me as I already enjoy the feelings that come from cracking technical problems. Obtaining my first and second degrees in engineering only reinforced my innate ability and established me on a career path that feels more like fun than work to me. Today, with about 15 years of work experience in the engineering field, I am leveraging my expertise to help solve some of the toughest power plant challenges in Nigeria and Africa. In my current role with a major power engineering firm in Nigeria: ✔ I manage operations & maintenance of power plants up to 200MW capacity spread across 15 sites within Nigeria and Africa with an average of 99.9% power availability in all operative sites. ✔ I have saved over $100,000 annually in costs by reducing operations and maintenance costs across sites. My expertise extends to power plant layout and installation, planning and scheduling of maintenance activities in power plants and coordinating technical operations in power plants. When I’m not manning engineering projects, I love spending time with my family, watching science movies and documentaries and engaging in community services.
