I am reporting directly to Finance Director and GM with dotted line to Regional controller of Middle East Region.  My key responsibilities are:
•	Ensure strong financial governance assuring accuracy of books and accounts, internal controls, data integrity and compliance with the applicable laws, regulations, policies, SOPs and guidelines,
•	Lead the business planning process and effective business partnering in developing the business plans,
•	Lead monthly / quarterly / yearly financial closing process and ensure timely submission of data / reports to the management,
•	Proactive triggering in fluctuation of expenses vs. budget to concerned stakeholders. Provide updates to the Saudi LT on the monthly and YTD performance,
•	Finance team skills leverage through effective coaching to sub-ordinates and develop a succession plan
•	Lead the Finance work stream for F4P KSA New Buy & Sell Affiliate Setup and ensure completion within timelines.

Working with Ernst &amp; Young Ford Rhodes Sidat Hyder &amp; Co. (AABS Group), I completed three and half year mandatory training as required by the bye-laws of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). 

While leading large teams in performing assurance engagements in accordance with the International Standards on Auditing and the E&amp;Y audit methodology, some of my major responsibilities included were:

 - Engagement planning:

       Conducting research in order to have an in-depth understanding of a client’s industry and business.
       Reviewing and evaluating industry and entity level risks of the client, keeping in perspective the impacts on financial statement assertions.
       Team planning and budgeting.

 - Managing the engagement:
       Understanding, evaluating and testing of accounting and internal control systems.
       Co-ordination with professionals of various fields like legal, actuarial and IT experts.
       Effectively communicating with the Manager and / or Partner with respect to engagement progress - risks, issues, variances from plan in terms of time, budget etc.

      Providing assistance to clients in preparation of both separate and consolidated financial statements in accordance with the requirements of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), corporate laws and other directives of the relevant statutory authorities.
      Performing analytical review of financial statements at the finalisation stage of the audit.
      Advising management on accounting and related technical matters through preparation of management letters.

 - Liaison with client: 
      Frequent interaction with senior management of the client at the planning stage, during the course of the audit and at the time of finalisation of audit.
      Developing a good working relationship with the client to deliver engagement expectations.
