I realized today that I am immensely grateful to have had the opportunity to work in a startup.

No, it did not turn out to be a unicorn.
No, I did not become rich.
Probably, I would have made more $$$ if I found a cozy corpo job.

But what I would not have had is the innate ability to connect things.

Understand how to make decisions that impact not just one department, but all departments.

Understand the bottom line, and the need to constantly push for profitability, evaluating the ROI, and not being distracted by shiny new tools.

Own outcomes.

And finally, I wouldn’t have learned how to inspect a webpage’s source, which is a very handy thing to know 😁.

Today, I'm proud of myself.

Some time ago, I started sporadically learning about time-series forecasting. If you asked my maths teacher how she felt about that, she would just sigh, because maths was never my strong point. 

I always liked statistics, but actually creating and understanding models - That's a different beast.

With the help of ChatGPT's Study mode, I've been slowly learning to the point where I can understand the basics and critically evaluate the outputs to a degree.

This is a very long story to say that I finally built my very first statistical model, after spending 10+ hours conversing with GPT, adjusting the parameters, and considering all variables.

Now, let's hope it passes the test. 🙃
