Software Engineer

▪ Project: Virtual Driving Simulator 
    o Architecture Design of a server for Real-Time Communication of all devices and software. 
    o A dedicated thread for every device for better performance with high-frequency communication. 
    o Software Development of the server using Object Oriented C++ with GUI in Qt. 
    o Testing and Debugging using Visual Studio 2013 and 2017.  
    o Software Development of the HTML based Dashboard along with Node.js based Server bridge. 
    o Software Components: IPG CarMaker, CarSim, Autodesk VRED, HTML Dashboard (via Node.js) 
    o Hardware Components: Motion Platform, Steering Wheel, and Pedals via CAN bus, VR Headsets 
▪ Project: Environment Scanning 
    o Microsoft Kinect is used to take 3D scan of the surface in Sandbox. 
    o 3D scan is then converted to Point Cloud Data after some refinement with filters. 
    o Polygon surface is created from the refined Point Cloud. 
    o The polygon surface data is written to the FBX File that can be loaded into CAD Software. 
    o Polygon surface can also be converted for CarSim or CarMaker for Virtual Driving Simulator. 
▪ Project: Ground Carpet Generation 
    o CarSim and CarMaker cannot directly take CAD data as input to drive the vehicle. So, in order to drive the vehicle in the environment of VRED Scene. It needs to be converted to the correct format. 
    o Irregular Polygon Data in VRED scene can be converted to equidistant Point Grid for CarSim or equidistant UV-grid for CarMaker after complex matrix calculations. 
    o Similarly, the data from CarMaker or CarSim can also be converted to Fbx File format, so that it can be imported back in the CAD software like Autodesk VRED. 
    o Multi-threading is used to boost the efficiency of the ground carpet calculations by parallel processing multiple grid-points according to the number of cores of the machine.

Adaptive In-Memory Check Pointing in Speculative Parallel Complex Event Processing(CEP).
▪	Proposed an extension to the available CEP systems to speculatively process the inconsistent situations while guaranteeing a certain event detection quality.
▪	Designed a model for check pointing that can be used by the speculative processing to minimize the latency.
▪	Implementation of the proposed extension and the check pointing model and integrate them in a Java-based CEP system.
