In today's business world, there are two ways to approach operations: - ignoring data and relying on intuition - utilising data-driven insights. I have witnessed firsthand the importance of the latter in achieving optimal business performance.Many businesses make the mistake of chasing trends and imitating competitors, ultimately leading to playing catch up in a competitive market. To truly optimise business performance, it is essential to leverage data to inform key operational decisions. Doing so leads to better decision making, problem solving, process improvement, cost savings, and a better understanding of competition and performance. As an operations analyst for Uber Ghana, I am passionate about improving operational performance and efficiency through data. In my current role, I own, analyse, and drive city metrics and priorities, working with regional operations and marketing teams to execute on the ground. I collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to deliver the best experience for riders and driver-partners in Ghana. Currently I oversee rider operations and our non-core product portfolio which includes UberXShare, Comfort, and Connect at Uber Ghana. My expertise spans operations, product growth, strategy management, and data analytics. With a background in finance and statistics, I have honed my skills in these areas through consulting, pensions administration, urban mobility, business development, ride-hailing, and tech.
