At Freely, backed by Zurich Ventures, I drove strategic vision and shaped the product function, providing leadership and mentorship to enhance Product Management maturity, including leader of Product Owner and Agile Business Analyst. Responsible for growth and customer experience for eCommerce and app journeys, ensuring excellence in sales, service, and claims while managing key commercial metrics and presenting performance updates to senior leadership. Achievements:
• Roadmap Delivery & Growth: Led the 2023 roadmap, achieving a 500% growth in conversion rate optimization over 2022. Relocation and downsize of 18 initiatives simultaneously over a 3–4-month period over numerous states.
• Uplifted revenue from loyal customers: Developed and implemented an Engagement, Retention, and Loyalty strategy, targeting a 32% revenue increase from returning customers.
• Product Expansion & Integration: Extended the Customer Value Proposition with new Exiting Medical Coverage, targeting a 10% gross written premium (GWP) uplift for FY24, and integrated with partners Growsurf and Tango to launch a referral program aiming for a 3% GWP uplift

An amazing privilege to pivot my career from Financial Services, to head up the Product and Applications team at CES - a scale-up eco-tech joint venture between Coca-Cola Europacific Partners and Lion that was established to be a service provider offering solutions for Container Deposit Schemes in Australia and around the World. 

Leading 9 Squads, my team and I solve complex customer problems through technology solutions, to find better ways to recycle that positively impacts people, communities, and country. We assist to power one of Australia’s largest container recycling programs, Containers for Change.  With a mission to help increase recycling rates, rid the world of drink container litter, and empower community participation in an accredited circular economy.

Every day presents a new challenge at CES but one that will hopefully build a better future for many generations to come.

Head of Product and Applications

As Manager, appointed at ING to lead the Retail customer facing digital channels COE (mobile and web) and Open Banking Integration.  Specifically, the charter was to develop the strategy to refresh and optimising ING’s Mobile banking app and Internet Banking channels.   Providing leadership to 11 squads, this COE is also responsible for the life cycle management of all internal assets such as Salesforce, CMS, Elastic Search, and more.  

In parallel, responsible for leading ING’s strategic integration to the Consumer Data Right – also known as Open Banking, covering connectivity, commercialisation and articulation of customer facing value propositions as a Data Holder and Data Recipient.

Senior Manager Digital Channels Centre Of Excellence (COE)

Appointed at UBank to lead the product team, for Retail banking covering Home Loans, At Call Deposits and Term Deposit offering to Australian consumers. This includes re-establishing the core product function, translating business objectives into tactical outcomes, managing product development and enhancement processes (product features, pricing, customer communications and the go to market positioning).  Overall accountable for build existing revenue streams, retain competitive advantage and ‘go to market’ strategies. 

In addition, I was responsible for defining and evaluating payments innovations such as new product offerings, New Payments Platform (NPP) enablement, digital wallets, potential Fintech Partnerships and more.  This includes leading the business case, evaluation, development, business commercialisation and launch of these products and services.  Specifically, at UBank I lead the adoption of partnering with Elula – a fintech specialising in Customer Retention, the implementation of Google Pay, Samsung Pay, FitBit and Garmin Pay through my strong relationships and developed a strong partnership with Visa to optimise UBank’s Visa Debit offering. 

I led 6 direct reports, who I inspired and empowered to deliver key strategic initiatives collaboratively in across a young dynamic business. Whilst this role was a key people leadership role, it was also a ‘hands on’ product initiative and delivery role.

Headed up the Digital Solutions portfolio, providing digital products and services such as White label mobile apps, API’s and digital wallets for Apple Pay, Android Pay and Samsung Pay. This includes leading the business case, evaluation, development, business commercialisation and launch of these products and services.  Specifically at Cuscal lead the adoption of using customer centric design and agile methodologies for the development of these products and services.  

I lead 6 product direct reports, 1 UX/UI designer and cross-functional project teams of up-to 35 to deliver the various digital wallets, 15 new to market API’s and 8 new bespoke white label apps for clients such as Macquarie Bank, ING Direct, and multiple Mutuals and Credit Unions.  

8 months into the role at Cuscal, my charter has now been expanded to include the Acquiring portfolio which include the management of Square and other POS services.

Responsibilities included end to end facets of the  product design from ideation through to development, commercialiation and in market launch. 

Pi and the its associated POS devices were well received in the Australian market place.

* Growth in Card and Payments market share from 24% to 41% in 3 years equating to a $200M EBIT in 2012. 
* Scope and launched Caltex and Myer One customer Loyaty program

Key deliverables comprised of research, development and implementation of Middle Market segmentation strategy, management of A&P and OPEX costs for Direct Marketing and Sponsorship activity, reporting on business performance, and forecasting lead generation activity.

As Manager Acquisition, Channels and 3rd Party Alliances the key deliverables were to develop, implement and manage Lead Referral Programs to sustain the Middle Market channel with sufficient acquisition opportunities.  Further more to build a channel profile for 3rd Party sales channels by assisting in the management of the existing external Telesales channel and exploring opportunities with new 3rd Party Field sales channels for Australia and New Zealand.  The success of this role was dependant on leveraging existing relationships with current partners to scope out the opportunities for piloting lead referral programs which inturn lead to an ongoing cost effective lead referral channel.

As Marketing Communciations Manager my charter was to lead the Marketing Communications team to successfully delivery integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives, including lead generation, customer retention and customer acquisition campaigns with above, below and online the line focus .  Furthermore was the custodian of the LexisNexis Butterworths Corporate Brand.  
During my time in the role I lead the organisation through the rebranding of Butterworths to LexisNexis.
