In fieri. In divenire. Becoming. Heraclitus said “We don’t get wet twice with the same water” and “panta rei” (everything flows). Currently on a deliberate pause from the corporate world after my last position ended - and after keeping to find zero purpose in a nearly “obliged” technical track I was pushed more into every time I expressed my ambitions to lead and absolute zero kelvin purpose at getting assigned always low impact projects and seeing my potential wasted - and training as a team leader in a coffee shop - finishing what I started with no official title pre pandemic - to then move from here. I may decide to come back to the executive track in corporate with an official leadership experience (which unfortunately I could never completely pursue in my most recent endeavours as per my previous statement) eventually and finally without line managers telling me “You have to become more technical first” and treating me as a glorified admin, as much as moving up in the management track in the coffee shop company or in general in hospitality. What is certain is: I love leadership because I love to develop others and make an impact. I love coffee and coffee shops (I would have been an early coffee shop junkie in any major European city back in the 1700s) I love hospitality.
