• Completed the successful acquisition and integration of Leo Insights, including a team of 10 software engineers with 0% attrition
• Secured strategic funding of $10M with 0% equity dilution and $30M in venture funding
• Led the successful sale of Dsco to the biggest market competitor, CommerceHub for $111M with a 14x return to early investors

Dell Technologies

Remained the Dell EMC operations lead in Utah and global leader for the $4B Backup & Recovery Services division.

• Saved 1,400 jobs following Dell’s acquisition of EMC through executive relationship-building/education and cross-company partnerships
• Transitioned Backup & Recovery leadership role from a centralized model to a decentralized one post-Data Domain integration
• Retained 100% of the team after the Dell acquisition, other than those included in the divestiture of the Mozy business to Carbonite for $150M

General Manager - Mozy, Utah, Dell EMC BRS

Led EMC operations in Utah for 1,400+ employees across various business functions. Also led an additional 1,000 in North Carolina, Ireland, India, & China. Retained Mozy oversight while adding a $4B global technology services division. Served as Utah-based leader for all EMC Federation brands (VMWare, Virtustream, RSA, Pivotal, etc.).

• Hired and retained more than 600 people in 6 months
• Overachieved goal for 25% multilingual capabilities (more than 25% of new hires spoke native Spanish or Portuguese)
• Supported 14 direct reports across 7 countries
• Obtained Top Secret U.S. Federal security clearance

General Manager - Mozy, Utah, Dell EMC BRS (EMC acquired by Dell in 2016)

Directed all business and technology operations for this $100M autonomous SaaS business unit. Established multiple remote teams in India & China.

• Oversaw multiple product launches, including new Mozy Enterprise product, and international expansion in 4 different countries (UK, Ireland, France, Germany)
• Successfully navigated acquisition with PI Corporation to quickly eliminate $1M in additional expense and grew Mozy to $100M ARR
• Facilitated major technology & talent transfer to VMware in support of the vCloud Air launch with no impact to Mozy business operations
• 0% change in customer retention during catastrophic disk failure episode in primary datacenter followed by a return to system health of 99.999% in 45 days

VP & General Manager - Mozy (EMC acquired by Dell in 2016)

Led product, technical operations, sales, marketing, finance and customer service for Berkeley Data Systems, a high-growth B2C/B2B storage/backup-as-a-service company and the creator of Mozy.

• Signed GE as first enterprise customer of MozyPro
• Negotiated terms sheets worth $15M for a round of venture funding
• Sold the business to EMC for $76M, an 18x return to early investors
• 100% employee retention within the Mozy team
