VANEESA VEERAPPAN (ACMA, CGMA) TTT/12851, is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountant UK and has with her over 20 years of working experience in Governance, Risk, Compliance & Internal Audit. Vaneesa spent a significant number of years with Malaysia Airlines as a Chartered Accountant then moved to explore her interest in the field of Risk & Policy Advisory. She contributed largely in developing a number of key corporate policies and framework. One such instrumental policy was the Passenger Delay Handling policy which was tested in several Malaysia Airlines offices worldwide including United Kingdom, Italy, Australia & the Middle East. Vaneesa was awarded with the much coveted MH Star Award given by the Managing Director of Malaysia Airlines for the successful implementation of this policy. She then took on the role of an Internal Auditor. Within this ambit, she was involved in conducting several corporate audits to ensure corporate objectives and strategies were achieved in compliance to corporate policies and procedures. During this time she prepared audit reports and identified significant audit issues to be presented to the Board Audit Committee. She was then offered the role of Risk Management Practitioner and trainer at Astro Malaysia where she regularly trained staff on Risk Management & Corporate Governance. Her experience, drive and unbridled passion as a trainer were recognized and lauded by her peers and superiors when she was awarded the much coveted “Excellence in Training” award by the Human Resources division of this organization. Vaneesa later moved into the field of training and development. Committed and driven to the cause, she obtained a formal training certification from HRDF. She is a certified trainer by the Basel Institute of Governance, Switzerland in Governance, Risk, Compliance, Ethics & Culture and Anti-Corruption. She is also a faculty trainer for MIM, MIA & IIAM. She’s been actively training both local and international participants from Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kenya, Bhutan & Singapore. She was awarded Risk Practitioner and Certified Trainer under the category of Women Leadership by CMO Asia. She is a certified virtual trainer and carries the title Virtual LearnCaster. As a person, her affable qualities and excellent interpersonal skills have provided the platform for many successful relationships. A supremely balanced individual with a healthy sense of camaraderie. A true people person, which is clearly evident amongst the radiant smiles and enthusiasm in the faces of people she trains.
