My approach towards life - 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘭𝘺 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴, 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯, 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 Hi, my name is Varun Sagar Theegala and I'm glad to meet you I am a bachelor's degree holder in Business Administration (2020) from Madras Christian College. I am very enthusiastic about Data and its potential to tell amazing stories and uncover insights, and am currently working at Eli Lilly and Company, in the healthcare analytics industry since December 2021. However, things never came easy to me. Being from a non-tech background, - I had no one to guide me and provide clarity of the roadmap - I spent nearly 4 years, a lot of money and efforts into trying to land my first major opportunity - My applications were rejected, mainly because I was from non-IT/Engineering background. - Couldn't find many opportunities for a very long time. - I didn't have an online presence and didn't know how to network with the domain experience - I felt stressed, uncertain and anxious during the time for long But after all of that, I made it. And I made it to the silicon valley of India - Bengaluru. But soon afterwards, I saw many others like myself, struggling with the same challenges to breakthrough. Hence since the start of 2023 I have with new mission. I have become deeply passionate about helping freshers and working professionals from non-tech backgrounds, like myself, not only successfully transition into Analytics but make informed decisions about pursuing a career in the field of data MY MISSION - I run a podcast "The Starlight Podium", where I interview individuals and data professionals to leave listeners with insights and strategies to decide on transitioning into and accelerating their data career.
