My life has been filled with unexpected challenges since I became a spousal caregiver 29 years ago. Back then, I did not know what I should have known. I am Vena Stewart-Semprie, an expert caregiver and a powerhouse of wisdom. I live in Toronto, Canada with my husband of 53 years. My caregiving struggles inspired me to share my wisdom with the world to bring awareness and help to caregivers who are facing enormous stresses while caring for their loved ones. Navigating my heart-wrenching challenges, on the emotional roller-coaster, I struggled and suffered for many years because I did not know what to do and I got quite sick trying to be everything to everyone. Determined to change my own life, I stepped outside my comfort zone and started to do things differently. I went back to school and became an entrepreneur. My struggles enabled opportunities for growth, development and enrichment. Here are a few of my accomplishments: I authored a book, Caregiver Triumphant that is recognized as an excellent resource for caregivers in crisis. I write a blog, Caring For Caregiver, I created a signature system for business owners who are also caregivers. I am passionate about improving the lives of caregivers., and, I commit to helping caregivers live the life they deserve while caring for their loved ones. I commit to helping caregivers turn their struggles into triumph, live in their greatness and enjoy the life they deserve. I am Vena Semprie, a strong woman, motivated, independent and love to laugh. I face challenges head on and take responsibility for the choices I made and make. My experience as a caregiver over the last 53 years, first as a caregiver to my 4 children and at present to my husband who has been disabled for 29 years enabled me to share my knowledge and experience globally on the world wide web.
